• Integrated emailer: new with SurveyPro4, we offer an emailer for notifying your respondents that the survey is available. It integrates with your survey's password file, tracking who has completed the survey so it can send out non-respondent reminders.

• Use your branding: full layout controls let you set colors and fonts to match your website and use your own logo and graphics. You can publish to your own URL, and the software does not include any Apian Software branding on surveys.

• Unlimited surveys and respondents: there are no per-survey or per-respondent fees with the use of your own server.

Web surveys with SurveyPro offer you three choices for publishing your survey to the web:

• Your server: if you have full control of a web server, you can publish your surveys to your own server, using your own URL. This requires an installation of ASP scripts and DLLs, so check with your IT department to make sure this will work for your organization and server.

• QuestionWeb: self-serve survey hosting. Lease space on our managed, secure servers – no need to install any scripts. You still create and manage the survey yourself, including publishing the survey and downloading the data. QuestionWeb is best for organizations that don't wish to do a server installation or are hosting their website with a third-party ISP. It's also recommended anytime you want the anonymity of a questionweb.com URL.

• SurveyHost: full service custom hosting. You can create the survey in SurveyPro yourself, or just email us a Word doc. We'll convert it to a polished web survey. There is no Apian branding required in this service, with the exception that it will have a surveyhost.com URL. Many SurveyPro owners use SurveyHost for their more complex projects: surveys which are in multiple languages, require programming of quotas, use multi-question skip triggers. SurveyHost is also recommended for sensitive employee surveys where 3rd-party confidentiality will provide an additional measure of privacy.

Paper questionnaires are the best solution in many situations: hotel comment cards, training class feedback forms, or any situation where not every respondent will have immediate access to a web-connected computer. • Unlimited data entry stations with KeyCollect: once you've collected your data, you can either enter it straight back into SurveyPro (into the integrated database), or you can add data entry stations at no additional charge. The DirectCollect module, included with SurveyPro4, will create an independent executable version of your survey. This mini-program can be run on a kiosk, a laptop, your local area network, or the desktops of telephone interviewers. The data files are then imported back into SurveyPro for analysis together.

• Fully interactive: the self-running survey will immediately verify that answers are accurate and properly formatted. The surveys can include skips, branching, and piping, and can be password-protected to ensure single submissions.

• Interviewer features: in-person or telephone interviewers can pre-load their name, session, and other information so it's copied into each form. They can select from up to 8 different survey templates.

• Kiosk features: surveys can be formatted with large buttons for touchscreens. There are settings for timing out abandoned surveys, with an optional countdown. It can be locked to a full screen with no system access for greater security.

• Link to your database: respondent data such as name and address can be preloaded into the form. Changes to this information can be fed back into your database.

SurveyPro creates a scannable version of your survey, which you copy and distribute. When responses come back, they are scanned in with an image scanner. Scanning software is used to convert the page images to a data file, which is then imported back into SurveyPro for analysis and reporting.
